In order to develop a methodology for an environmental and sustainability classification of the consensus mechanisms of Blockchain and Distributed Ledger technologies, the CEN-CLC/JTC 19 “Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies” Committee has proposed the creation of a specifically dedicated New Work Item to the environmental assessment entitled “Environmental and sustainability classification methodology of consensus mechanisms of Blockchain and DLTs”. The Scope also includes providing a clearer indication of these cryptographic technologies and resources in reference to certain categories of energy consumption efficiency.

Nuovo progetto CEN/CENELEC sulla sostenibilità delle tecnologie Blockchain e DLT
Al fine di sviluppare una metodologia per una classificazione ambientale e di sostenibilità dei meccanismi di consenso delle tecnologie Blockchain e Distributed Ledger, il Comitato CEN-CLC/JTC 19 “_Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies_” ha proposto la creazione di un New Work Item dedicato specificamente alla valutazione ambientale dal titolo “Environmental and sustainability classification methodology of consensus mechanisms of Blockchain and DLTs”. Tra le finalità, anche fornire una più chiara indicazione di queste tecnologie e risorse crittografiche in riferimento a determinate categorie di efficienza del consumo energetico.
